Apply For No-Cost, Low-Risk Projects

What is AcceliGOV?

AcceliGOV is a program by Leading Cities that helps communities explore innovative solutions through fully funded, no-cost, low-risk projects. This allows local governments to work directly with vetted solution providers to test real tools in real-world conditions—without procurement hurdles, long-term contracts, or financial risk.

Why Apply?

The goal of AcceliGOV is simple: help communities make better decisions using real data. Instead of relying on assumptions or sales pitches, communities gain practical insights, measurable outcomes, and operational evidence before committing resources or scaling new initiatives.

The AcceliGOV Process

Leading Cities acts as a neutral convener and trusted intermediary throughout the AcceliGOV process. We source and rigorously vet solutions, ensure projects are aligned with real community needs, and design the process to remove financial, operational, and informational barriers for public sector adoption.

Our role is not to sell technology, but to de-risk innovation—helping communities access credible solutions, make evidence-based decisions, and move from interest to real-world implementation with confidence.

What is AcceliCITY?

PHASE 1: Project Opportunity Defined

Leading Cities sources each no-cost, low-risk project from AcceliCITY, our global accelerator that vets hundreds of urban solution providers each year. Only solutions with proven potential and real-world applicability are selected to address priority community challenges.

PHASE 2: Application & Feasibility Period

Communities and private organizations of all sizes are invited to submit a short application to express interest in hosting the project. During this period, Leading Cities facilitates optional feasibility conversations between applicants and the solution provider, allowing both sides to ask questions, assess fit, and confirm readiness before a final selection is made.

PHASE 3: Finalist Selection & Community Matching

At the end of the application period, the solution provider typically selects up to three finalist applicants for their project. The solution provider then holds short meetings with each finalist to better understand local needs, timelines, and implementation conditions. Based on these conversations, the solution provider selects the community that represents the strongest fit for a successful deployment.

PHASE 4: Project Implementation & Impact

Once the project is awarded, implementation is led directly by the solution provider and the selected community. Leading Cities steps back from day-to-day operations and remains available as a neutral support partner if questions arise, challenges emerge, or coordination is needed. At the conclusion of the project, Leading Cities works with the community to review results, assess impact, and explore options for scaling, continued deployment, or alternative financing pathways.
